Lu takes its inspiration from time spent in El Carmen, Chincha and Pachacamac along the coast of Peru. Virtuoso percusionist and zapatero Edu Campos throws down a great 'off the cuff' intro zapateando his way into the traditional Afro-Peruvian festejo rhythm which starts out with a folk inspired theme. Master percusionist and singer Juan Medrano Cotito wacks wimsical commentary on the proceding know as 'Guapeo' along with the instrumental. The talented and sure hands of Juan Daniel Pastor guide the band between festejo and lando inspired break downs while bass ace Mario Cuba displays his fun and playfull groove culminating in descarga of rhythm (con su bomba) where Andrew Baker and Rafael Miranda lock horns before the finishing line.
